LEAF AND TREE GALLERY

My husband is my inspiration for many of these paintings. He is a landscape architect and has taught me to really look closely at the uniqueness of each type of tree and leaf. My leaf paintings are the result of a process of monoprinting. I apply paint to actual leaf, then press each one into paper and overpaint the paper. After the paint is dry, I will peel up the leaves to see what has happened! Sometimes unexpected things emerge, and I  embrace that!
