This was an interesting commission.... One of my long time patrons asked me to do a commissioned piece in the vein of my "Lost and Found" pieces. The piece I was to create revolved around his mother's family 'home place" in Italy. He shared some wonderful pictures, memorabilia, stories and ephemera about those days gone by. I took these elements and created this mixed media piece, titled: Verica: How it was .
So excited that my image from the Dichotomy Show (on exhibit at the Takoma Park Community Center through March 1st) was featured in the January 2015 edition of Elan Magazine!
I love this Magazine that features artists in our area.... full disclosure, I was featured in June 2013...
Here's a link to Elan .
I have been an artist all of my life. I can't help it. Drew on the walls in kindergarten, painted pictures in high school, went to Art School, worked as an art director, started painting again. And am loving it.
