ArtFest at Ft. Smith Park this Friday

You are invited to the Ft. Smith ArtFest, which starts this Friday, March 28th and runs through Friday, April 4, 2014. The Art Show, featuring over 40 Arlington Artists, is in the beautifully restored Hendry House (not usually open to the public).

The hours are:
Friday, March 28th OPENING RECEPTION from 6-8pm, Meet the artists and enjoy some wine and nibbles
Saturday, March 29: Open 11am-5pm, BONUS: Artist Talk by Rusty Lynn on the Art and Poetry of Jean Arp and Sophie Tauber Arp from 3pm-4pm. FREE, register at [email protected]
Sunday, March: Open 12 noon-4pm.
Tuesday, April 1: Open 12 noon-4pm. BONUS: Presentation on Oil Bars "Adult Finger Painting Tools" by Jackie Afram 12:30-1:30pm. FREE, register at [email protected]
Wednesday, April 2, Open 12noon-4pm
Thursday, April 3: Open 12noon-4pm BONUS:Workshop: Natures Bounty with Fran Simms. 1:30-3pm. FREE, register at [email protected]
Friday, April 4: Open 10am-12 noon.

Cherry Tree...Sold at ArtFest

My Lovely Little Cherry Tree just found a new home! It was my featured photo on my post about ArtFest at Ft. CF Smith.... and sure enough, that's where it sold! But there's still plenty more lovely artwork there, and the weather is beautiful, so head on down to Ft. CF Smith between now and Friday at noon.

Arlington Artists Alliance ArtFest

The week-long Arlington Artists Alliance ArtFest kicks off tonight with a FREE reception at the Hendry House at Ft. CF Smith in Arlington. This is always a great week of FREE workshops and fun events. Check out all the events at: http://www.arlingtonartistsalliance.org/
The artwork is all hung and ready to be viewed.... I know, since my colleagues Linda Maldonado, Marie Baumann and I spent the morning hanging the show. There are some really beautiful pieces are really reasonable prices! Some that really caught my eye are by Elise Ritter, and Nan Morrison. The reception is tonight from 6pm to 8pm... Hope to see you there!
